Italian Cultural Centre, Slocan Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada
DABC’s 6th annual fundraising gala is on September 27th, 2018 at the Italian Cultural Centre (3075 Slocan St., Vancouver, BC). Last year’s gala was a fun evening and a great success and we’d like your help to make this year’s even bigger and better!
As always, our gala will feature a dinner, an employment awards ceremony, silent and live auctions, a fun quiz game and, for the first time we will be featuring live artists, who will be creating art on the spot to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. We will also have a fun photo booth – print your photos at the event for free! We are thrilled to welcome back CBC’s Stephen Quinn as our emcee and entertainer David C. Jones.
Fall Fling is attended by people and organizations associated with BC’s disability community and is a great opportunity to connect with colleagues and community members and support DABC’s work. All the money raised from the gala goes towards funding DABC’s programs and projects benefitting British Columbians with Disabilities.
DABC’s Executive Director, Jane Dyson, will be retiring this year and this will be her last DABC gala. We really hope you will join us to help celebrate her 20 year legacy advocating for people with disabilities!
Please show your support with a Fall Fling 2018 sponsorship and help make a difference in the lives of many people with disabilities. Click here for more information on sponsorship opportunities.
DABC’s Employment Awards
Do you know an employer who should be celebrated for helping to ensure that more people with disabilities are employed? Or do you know an employee with a disability who you’d like to recognize for their excellent work?
Each year, DABC presents two employment awards at our annual gala. Please help us promote outstanding achievement in the employment of people with disabilities by submitting a nomination. Nomination forms will be available on May 15th.
