Federal COVID-19 support rejected in the House of Commons

We are very disappointed to see the $600 emergency payment for holders of the Disability Tax Credit has been rejected in the House of Commons. This is confusing news given the seemingly certain tone of the announcement last week. We will provide an update on this issue as soon as we have one.

We hope that as the negotiations for federal support continue, that government will (1) deal with the disability benefit separately from the other contentious measures in the Bill, and (2) extend support to other people with disabilities that are not holders of DTC certificates.
