Request for Participation: DiverCity on Boards
Ryerson University’s Diversity Institute is currently performing a study, which has been reviewed and approved by the Ryerson University Research Ethics Board (REB number 2019-062), of the experiences of senior leaders and boards of director members in organizations within the Financial Post 500 list; senior leaders in the voluntary sector organizations, boards and commissions; education, hospitals, and public sector organizations – who identify as persons with disabilities, Indigenous or LGBTQ2S+.
Participation in this study consists of in-person or remote (e.g. phone, Skype) interviews, which should take approximately one hour to complete. Within the interview, there will be a variety of topics that will be discussed, including, demographic questions, credentials and previous experience, social networks, board composition and characteristics, competing demands, experiences of discrimination as well as industry culture. All information identifying participants will remain confidential.
