Pan-African Carnival: Dialogue on Mental Health

DABC will be participating in The Africa Great Lakes Society’s annual Pan-African Carnival, which is taking place from August 23-25 at various locations around Vancouver (https://www.panafricancarnival.co).

This year’s theme is “Mental Health”. On the 23rd of August, prominent mental health experts – including B.C. Minister of Mental Health and Addiction Judy Darcy – will be joining us at the seminar to explore how cultural disparities within diasporic and indigenous communities provide challenges to mental health and the community’s well-being.
