You're invited to a TransLink focus group on Tactile Walking Surface Indicators (TWSI)
TransLink is hosting a virtual focus group to discuss Tactile Walking Surface indicators (TWSI) at bus stops across Metro Vancouver.
DABC will be attending a session on Wednesday October 28, 3:30pm-5pm. If you would like to participate, please email jloh@disabilityalliancebc.therightfitbc.org.
The virtual discussion will include a presentation on TWSI from Translink and the consultant team followed by a discussion with participants related to their experiences and thoughts on Tactile Walking Surface Indicators (TWSI). Presentation materials will be distributed ahead of time so that you will be able to acquaint yourself with the information.
NDP's response to DABC questions to party leaders
DABC sent a number of questions to party leaders in the 2020 BC Election to learn more about how each of the parties would address certain disability-related issues.
We have just received a response from the BC NDP, which you can view here: https://disabilityalliancebc.therightfitbc.org/dabc-response/
If we receive any further responses, we will post them here.
