Taxi Passenger Bill of Rights

photo of a taxiBCCPD would like you to know your rights as a taxi passenger. BC’s Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, in consultation with taxi companies in Metro Vancouver, created a Taxi Bill of Rights: Information for Passengers.

Change to PWD application for youth with developmental disabilities

BCCPD is encouraged by this initiative that became effective on July 8, 2013, which will streamline the application process for youth with developmental disabilities who are accessing disability benefits.

Wheelchair Porch Lift

BCCPD has been contacted by a generous donor who recently purchased a house with a wheelchair porch lift that they do not need. The donor wishes to give away the lift for free. The lift is in good working order and appears to be battery powered (battery included). There is no indication of what brand it is or how old it is. Please see below for pictures.
