Get ready: the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB) application is opening June 20, 2025! When available, the application will be accessible here: https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/disability/canada-disability-benefit.html.

If you have the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) and have filed your taxes, you can apply online through the application portal, by phone, or in person at a Service Canada Centre.

Before you apply, you should gather the following information:

Social Insurance Number (SIN)
Direct deposit information. Service Canada asks everyone to sign up for direct deposit because it’s the fastest and most reliable way to get payments.
