Jeanette Andersen

DABC is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of long-time DABC Board member Jeanette Andersen. Jeanette was a kind-hearted, generous and funny person with a positive outlook on life. In addition to her more than 16 years of service on the Board, Jeanette made many positive contributions to the disability community. She was the BC Association for Individualized Technology and Supports for People with Disabilities’ (BCITS) Peer-Support Co-coordinator with the Provincial Respiratory Outreach Program (PROP) since 2002, participated on the City of Vancouver’s Persons with Disabilities Advisory Committee, and advocated for increased accessibility in city planning and housing. We will miss her very much. Our sincere condolences to Jeanette’s family and friends.
