Participants Wanted: DisabilityPanel.ca
The Disability Foundation is looking for participants with disabilities to contribute to the panel it is facilitating! Funded in part by City of Vancouver and carried out in partnership with Justason Market Intelligence, the panel’s current initiative is recruiting Vancouver residents with disabilities to share their experiences during the pandemic by completing a series of online surveys. The findings will be shared with the city to provide them with valuable information about how their residents are coping during this time.
Participants will receive an honorarium.

Petition for the removal of spousal caps on social assistance
DABC is in support of this petition calling for the removal of spousal caps on social assistance.
PWD rates should be separated from spouse/partner income as this can sometimes create an unequal power dynamic between partners, especially for people with disabilities who are dependent on their partners for financial security. This kind of dependence can lead to spousal abuse.
