Province announces provincial accessibility legislation

The introduction of accessibility legislation in BC will conceivably initiate a meaningful, cultural shift in breaking down barriers to access and inclusion currently experienced by many people with disabilities across our province.

Disability Alliance BC is looking forward to engaging in the implementation of this legislation, particularly to ensure that the development of regulations and standards will address accessibility with a cross-disability lens, and which will echo across various sectors including housing, education, employment and business

Participants Wanted: DisabilityPanel.ca

The Disability Foundation is looking for participants with disabilities to contribute to the panel it is facilitating! Funded in part by City of Vancouver and carried out in partnership with Justason Market Intelligence, the panel’s current initiative is recruiting Vancouver residents with disabilities to share their experiences during the pandemic by completing a series of online surveys. The findings will be shared with the city to provide them with valuable information about how their residents are coping during this time.

Participants will receive an honorarium.
