June is Pride Month – held in June to honour the 1969 Stonewall Uprising and celebrate 2SLGBTQIA+ people. DABC fiercely celebrates our 2SLGBTQIA+ colleagues, loved ones and clients, and stands in strong opposition to the recent growing wave of transphobia and homophobia/queerphobia in our communities. Since 1977, Disability Alliance BC has been a provincial, cross-disability voice in British Columbia. Our mission is to promote a more inclusive and equitable society for people with all disabilities through direct services, community partnerships, systemic advocacy, research, and publications.
