On March 31st, the BC government announced that it would be cancelling the carbon tax, effective April 1st, 2025. As a result, the BC climate action tax credit (BCCATC) has also been cancelled.
Clients who have already filed their taxes will see a BCCATC amount listed for the year, but this payment will not actually happen. The final payment was on April 4, 2025.

Don’t forget! If you have all your tax slips ready, you’re a person with a disability living in Vancouver and your tax situation is simple, you can now drop off your tax information to our advocates for faster support.
Bring your ID and tax slips to our office and pick up your package once your taxes have been completed.
