Symposium: Theatre and Accessibility in a Digital World

A 2-DAY SYMPOSIUM
OCTOBER 21-22, 2019
BMO THEATRE CENTRE, VANCOUVER, BC

Hosted by The Arts Club Theatre Company and Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival, the symposium will explore the question, “How can we use digital technology to provide access for theatre patrons, artists and community members living with disabilities who currently encounter barriers to the traditional theatre experience?”

Community members, artists, administrators, and educators (both local and from across the country) are invited to come together and share ideas, challenges, and successes about the use of digital strategies to increase inclusivity in theatre environments.  Attending the symposium is free of charge, however registration is required.

Call for Proposals: 2019 Accessibility Project Grants

Disability Alliance BC is pleased to announce that we are issuing a Call for Proposals (CFP) for projects that promote greater accessibility and inclusivity for people with disabilities in BC communities. Funding grants of $10,000 to $40,000 per project will be disbursed to a maximum of $450,000.

Proposals are due by October 4th, 2019 and funding for successful projects will be disbursed in early 2020. Please review the Call for Proposals (CFP), Application, and accompanying documents for complete details about eligible projects.
