BC Government announces AccessibleBC plan

Earlier this week, the BC Government announced their AccessibleBC plan.

“The AccessibleBC plan lists five priority areas for government to identify, remove and prevent barriers to participation for people with disabilities:

  • creating a culture of accessibility and inclusion;
  • information and communication;
  • buildings, infrastructure and public spaces;
  • employment in the B.C. public service;
  • and- delivery of goods and services.”

Access RDSP to receive continued funding

Thanks to funding from the provincial government, which will be administered by The Vancouver Foundation, Access RDSP will continue to support people with disabilities in accessing the Disability Tax Credit and Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP).

Access RDSP is a partnership between the BC Aboriginal Network on Disability Society (BCANDS), Disability Alliance BC and Plan Institute.
