The BC Coalition of People with Disabilities’ (BCCPD) AGM took place this Saturday, June 21st at the Holiday Inn.
Every year, the Council of Canadians with Disabilities (CCD) presents an award to recognize an individual’s outstanding contribution to Canada’s disability rights movement. Each CCD member group nominates a recipient of the award.
At the BCCPD’s AGM this year, the Board of Directors selected Tom McGregor to receive the award. Tom has worked and volunteered at the BCCPD for nearly 20 years. He currently works as an advocate with Wilson Heights United Church and is on the Translink Disability Advisory Committee. Tom is a passionate advocate and a great photographer.
We have had to move Saturday’s (June 21st) AGM. The AGM will now be held at the Holiday Inn at 711 West Broadway in the Cypress Room on the 5th Floor. Registration opens at 10:30. Please call Chloe at 604-875-0188 if you have any questions. Thank you.
Yesterday, you may have received an email from us asking you to confirm your interest in continuing to receive our e-newsletter. Please note that you must click on the “confirm subscription” link within the email to continue to receive the newsletter. A number of you have emailed our office rather than clicking on the link. We really appreciate you taking the time to do that, but the only way you will continue to receive the e-newsletter is by clicking on the “confirm subscription” link.
Thanks very much. If you have any questions, please call Val at 604-875-0188.
