Access RDSP to receive continued funding

Thanks to funding from the provincial government, which will be administered by The Vancouver Foundation, Access RDSP will continue to support people with disabilities in accessing the Disability Tax Credit and Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP).

Access RDSP is a partnership between the BC Aboriginal Network on Disability Society (BCANDS), Disability Alliance BC and Plan Institute.

Update on the Canada Disability Benefit

On June 2nd, 2022, the federal government tabled Bill C-22 to “reduce poverty and support the financial security of persons with disabilities by establishing the Canada disability benefit”.

The Disability Without Poverty movement “is committed to working with federal and provincial governments to fast track an inclusive design process.” Read DWP’s press release.

New Resource Guide: A Practitioner’s Guide to the Disability Tax Credit.

Medical practitioners can play a key role in supporting patients’ applications for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC).

The guide provides medical practitioners with information about the Disability Tax Credit (DTC), how it can benefit their patients, and how they can help their eligible patients apply for the DTC.
